After meeting with your guide at the designated meeting point you will get to see the world’s most famous amphitheater. Once inside, your guide will bring the Colosseum to life by explaining the history of the gladiators and the complex engineering used to build this ancient entertainment complex.
Next, you will visit the Roman Forum, an archaeological site that was the commercial, legal, and administrative center of Ancient Rome. Your guide will take you on a journey back in time as you walk through the ruins of ancient temples and Roman mausoleums, including the senate building and the original altar where Julius Caesar’s body was cremated.
You will then get an Uber (not included) with your guide to explore the world-renowned Vatican museums. With your “skip the line” ticket, you will bypass the lines and proceed through security checks. This tour allows you to enjoy an infinite number of masterpieces like Michelangelo’s “Creation of Adam” and “Last Judgment”, gorgeous works by Bernini, Raphael, Botticelli, Perugino, and other treasures all incredibly united under the roof of the world-renowned Vatican museums. The numerous popes that have lived in the Vatican continuously enriched it with different artworks but the unmissable ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and its sublime ‘Last Judgment” by Michelangelo, is surely the real attraction.
At last, through an exclusive gallery directly linked to the Sistine Chapel, you will reach the largest Catholic church in the world: *St. Peter’s Basilica. The greatness and care of details will overwhelm you. Highlights of the Basilica include Michelangelo’s Pieta’, the imposing 29-meter-tall (90 ft) Baldacchin by Bernini, and the mosaics that decorate the whole ceiling.
